Venture Capital Funding, Partnerships and Acquisitions in the Beauty Industry

Speaker:

Anthony Sine, Partner Mergers, Acquisitions, Licensing & Partnerships at Strathspey Crowne

The West Coast proved to be a hot-bed of acquisitions and funding ventures for many entrepreneurs in the last half of 2014, with hungry firms seeking to grow by joining forces with unique, profitable, up and coming brands. How do you garner capital for faster growth by finding the perfect partner with the right amount of money to get your company noticed? And it takes more than just money to compete and be noticed in a bigger pond? And what’s the best way to grow your brand with an eye toward eventual acquisition?

Anthony Sine will share his extensive experience and expertise in financing successful businesses with practical advice on funding, partnerships, and acquisitions.  Beauty brands like Julep, Dollar Shave Club, Birchbox, and Glossier are thriving with venture capital funding.  Tony will explore whether venture capital funding is the best fit for your level of business, and if so, what you can do to maximize your potential to find the right partner.  He will also demystify the acquisition process and discuss the recent sale of GlamGlow to Estee Lauder and NYX Cosmetics to L’Oreal, as well as Activas’ acquisition of Allergan for $66 billion.

Glenn Dellimore will discuss the recent acquisition of GlamGlow by Estee Lauder and share some personal insights about the process of steps leading up to the acquisition.
